About the Game

Ten levels split between dense forests and desert terrain, three unit types with distinct stat profiles, and a formation system where the battle outcome is determined entirely before you press Start. War Simulator is a strategy game about placement rather than reflexes: you deploy your dwarves, spearmen, and archers in the pre-battle phase, set them against the enemy formation you have analyzed, and then watch the engagement unfold in real time. The 1.5x and 2x speed options let you see the outcome faster once the deployment is done.

Understanding Your Units

Dwarves are your front-line foundation. At 80 HP they absorb more punishment than any other unit, and their 3.5 attack power is respectable for a tank role. The tradeoff is agility at 1.7, which makes them slow to respond and slow to reach enemies, so placing them where they need to be at the start matters more than it would with a faster unit. Spearmen balance attack power, agility, and HP in a way that makes them versatile across the front and second lines. Their 2.5 agility and 4 attack power give them genuine offensive threat while their 60 HP provides enough resilience to survive prolonged engagement. Archers are the extreme end of the spectrum: 20 agility means they fire rapidly and reposition quickly, but 20 HP means any enemy that reaches them will end them almost immediately. They belong at the back, contributing sustained ranged damage while the dwarves and spearmen absorb and deal the close-range pressure.

Formation and Terrain

The ten levels present different terrain configurations and enemy formations that require reading before placing your units. Forest levels create natural chokepoints that affect how quickly engagements develop. Desert levels open the battlefield in ways that expose your archers to flanking if the frontline positioning is not deep enough. Analyzing the enemy formation before placing a single unit reveals where the pressure will come from and which of your unit types is best positioned to handle it. A formation built without considering the specific enemy lineup and terrain is less likely to succeed than one that accounts for both.

The Placement Phase

Left-clicking places warriors on the battlefield. Right-clicking and holding lets you look around the scene to assess positioning from different angles. Scrolling zooms in and out for both the macro view of the full formation and the close-up detail of specific unit placements. Taking the time to zoom out and view the complete picture before committing to a formation is the habit that catches misalignments that are obvious at distance and invisible when you are focused on a single section of the deployment zone.
