Candy Crush is the obvious comparison and the game does not shy away from it. Sweet Sugar Match is a match-3 puzzle game with 100 levels, a move limit that forces you to think rather than just swipe at anything that looks like it could connect, and a jelly system that gives each level a specific target rather than just asking you to score points.

The objective is always to convert blue-background squares into jelly sugar by matching candies on top of them. How many you need to convert is shown in the top right, and how many moves you have left is in the top left. Running out of moves before hitting the target fails the level, which sounds obvious but becomes genuinely tense once you are three moves away from the goal with a board that is not cooperating.

Combos are where the game opens up. Match four in a row and you get a striped candy that wipes an entire row when you use it. Five in an L or T shape creates a wrapped candy that clears a nine-candy area. Five in a straight line makes a candy bomb that eliminates every candy of a chosen color from the board. Combining two of these together does something even more dramatic that the game correctly leaves as a surprise for you to discover rather than explaining upfront.

Three boosters help when a level becomes genuinely stuck: five extra moves, a free move that lets you swap without spending from your count, and an area explosion that clears a section outright. Save them for when they actually matter rather than spending them at the first sign of difficulty.
