After every three placements a new set of three blocks arrives. The game ends when no valid placement exists for any of the three current blocks, which means the challenge is not just about clearing individual lines but about maintaining enough open space to keep placements possible as the grid fills up.

The block shapes draw from the same language as Tetris, covering I, L, T, Z, and S forms along with chunkier variants that arrive as the session progresses. Planning several moves ahead becomes increasingly important as the grid fills, and the satisfaction of clearing multiple lines in sequence with well-planned placements is the core loop the game builds around.

Adventure Mode adds structure and variety to that core. Levels begin with blocks already on the grid, which changes the problem from a clean start to a situation that requires working around existing obstacles. Each level has a specific objective, whether that is clearing a set number of tiles, collecting gems hidden beneath blocks, or reaching a point threshold within a placement limit. The complexity of those objectives increases as you progress, and the combination of pre-placed blocks and specific goals creates puzzles that feel genuinely different from the open-ended Classic experience.

Combos reward efficient play in Adventure Mode. Clearing multiple lines in a single placement scores bonus points. Chaining several clears together in sequence multiplies those bonuses further. It transforms what could be a purely spatial exercise into something that rewards planning and timing simultaneously, and the jump in scoring between an average run and an efficient one is significant enough to give you real motivation to improve.

Block Blast Online is one of those puzzle games that is almost impossible to play for exactly the amount of time you planned. Classic Mode especially has the quality of feeling like it should be a five-minute break and turning into a much longer session before you notice. That is the sign of a well-built puzzle loop, and this game has it.
