About the Game

Running a subway network sounds like the kind of job that would give most people a headache, but Subway Idle 3D makes it feel genuinely satisfying. You are in charge of building and expanding an underground transport system starting in New York City, and the whole thing runs on the same logic as real transit management: more lines, more passengers, more money, better infrastructure. The idle format means the system keeps earning while you are away, but active sessions reward players who pay attention to where the bottlenecks are and invest in the right places.

Getting Started

New York is your first city, and the early game is about understanding the upgrade loop before the complexity scales up. Connecting railways properly is the foundation of the whole system, and the income from those connections is what funds everything else. Keep an eye on the level bar at the top of the screen because the leveling rewards are easy to miss if you do not actively claim them. The Missions tab gives you structured targets that point you toward the most productive upgrades at each stage, and completing them consistently is a better guide than just spending on whatever is available.

Maximising Income

Golden Metros pass through the railways periodically and are worth clicking on immediately when they appear. They generate a meaningful cash bonus that passive income alone cannot replicate, so staying at least loosely attentive during a session pays off in a way that pure idle play does not. Beyond that, the income formula is straightforward: more passengers means more money, and more money means better infrastructure, which carries more passengers. The Price section lets you increase the fare per passenger, and the Speed section reduces metro travel time, both of which directly affect how much money flows through the system per minute.

Expanding Your Network

The Tracks section at the bottom of the screen is where real growth happens. Adding new subway lines expands your capacity, but adding a line alone is not enough. Each new route needs more metros running on it and more stations along its path to generate meaningful revenue. Thinking of each line as a complete investment rather than just clicking the add button and moving on is the mindset that separates a stagnant network from one that is consistently scaling.

Once you reach the required levels, other major cities unlock from the Map section, giving you entirely new networks to build from scratch. Protecting your progress through the Code section in the game menu is worth doing before each session ends.
