About the Game

Most simulation games ask you to manage systems, follow objectives, and optimize outcomes. Cat Simulator asks you to be a cat, which turns out to be a genuinely different experience. Six distinct game modes give you a range of ways to inhabit the role, from parkour challenges to survival combat to a pool mini-game where the goal is to claw animals off a water surface within a time limit.

The mode selection is genuinely varied. Cat Stunt Mode is a parkour challenge built around jumping over obstacles and navigating platforms, which suits the movement mechanics well and gives you a concrete skill to develop across multiple attempts. Maga XP is a coin collection sprint with a time limit, rewarding fast movement and efficient route planning. Career mode introduces quests that give the experience a narrative structure, with tasks that develop over time and provide a sense of progression beyond individual sessions.

Destruction mode is exactly what it sounds like. You are a cat in a room full of things to knock over and break, and the game gives you full permission to do exactly that with no objective beyond causing chaos. It is a short mode but it is genuinely cathartic in a way that more structured gameplay cannot replicate. Maga Kill is a survival mode where squirrels, tortoises, and spiders need to be eliminated before your health runs out, with coins dropping from each defeated animal to fund your continued rampage. The Pool Mini Game gives you 50 seconds to claw animals moving across a water surface, with the complication that certain animals like lobsters and tortoises will hurt you on contact, so target selection becomes a real skill.

Thirteen cat breeds are available to choose from, each with different distributions of health, damage, and power. The breed you pick changes how each mode plays in subtle but meaningful ways. A higher-damage cat clears Maga Kill faster. A higher-health build survives longer in difficult survival situations. Trying different breeds across different modes reveals combinations that suit specific playstyles.

The room customization option adds a personal dimension that most action-oriented games skip entirely. Buying TVs, paintings, shelves, vases, and curtains with your earned coins lets you design the space you are playing in, which is a small feature but one that adds a sense of ownership to the experience. Hats for your cat add another cosmetic layer for players who want their character to look a specific way regardless of breed selection.

Cat Simulator works because it commits fully to its concept. It is a game about being a cat, and every mode and feature is built around that premise without apology or overcomplication.
