About the Game

Remember desktop destruction games from before the internet era? You would pick up a virtual hammer and smash the screen until it shattered into pixels. Kick the Zombie is the modern version of that same idea, except your target is an undead enemy and your arsenal has grown considerably. Guns, hammers, chainsaws, and even a truck are all on the table. If you have five minutes of pent-up frustration from work, homework, or a long commute, this is the game that was made for exactly that.

How It Works

You start with nothing but your fists. Click on the zombie to punch and kick, watch the health bar drain, and collect one coin per hit plus a 100 coin bonus when the level is cleared. The early levels are manageable with basic attacks, but later zombies have more health and require proper weapons to finish off in a reasonable amount of time. That coin flow funds everything that comes next.

Weapons and Tools

The shop is split into categories that cover every level of destruction. Basic guns start at 200 coins for the shotgun and scale up to the sniper rifle at 1,500. Tools like the chainsaw, axe, knife, and buzzsaw are for players who prefer close-range carnage. Throwables including wooden logs, gravestones, rocks, and coffins let you hurl objects for impact damage. The Ancient category offers quicker purchases like the ivory knife and poison, alongside heavier options like the spiked mace. Premium weapons are the real spectacle: a spear, a truck that flattens the zombie on contact, and both a wolf and a ninja that fight on your behalf.

Saving coins rather than spending them on the first available weapon is the smarter approach. A bomb at 800 coins does more meaningful damage than four separate purchases at the lower end, and the truck at 3,000 coins is the kind of tool that makes even tough zombies feel satisfying to finish.

Locations

The Spooky House is where every session begins, available for free. The Cemetery unlocks for 200 coins and is the next natural purchase. From there, Cursed Hills, the Desert, and Halloween Castle each cost 800 coins and provide different visual environments for the same satisfying destruction. None of them change the core mechanics, but switching locations keeps longer sessions from feeling visually repetitive.
