Managing Your Ammo

Limited bullets and a target count that increases with each level means you cannot afford to fire at anything you are not reasonably confident about hitting. Before each level starts, check the bullet count at the top of the screen and count the mechs you need to take down. If the numbers are close, every shot needs to count and waiting for a clean moment is always better than firing at a difficult angle out of impatience. Missing a fast mech costs you a bullet you might need for a harder target later in the same level.
