About the Game

A rooftop, a cemetery full of walking dead, a sniper rifle, and a bullet count that does not forgive wasted shots. Zombie Sniper is a 2D first-person sniper game with 30 levels of increasing difficulty, each one presenting a specific number of zombies to eliminate with a limited ammunition supply. Running out of bullets before the cemetery is clear sends you back to the beginning of that level, which keeps every shot feeling meaningful from the first level to the last.

The Cemetery and Your Position

Your rooftop position overlooking the graveyard gives you a clear line of sight across the cemetery while keeping you at a safe enough distance that the zombies cannot reach you easily. The setting works in your favor as a sniper because the grave markers and open spacing between them make each target visible without requiring you to move or reposition. Different zombie types populate the cemetery across levels, including stationary ones, overweight variants that take up more of the screen, and ones that pace back and forth in patterns you need to read before committing to a shot.

Headshots and Ammo Management

Aiming for the head is the standard approach and the one the game is built around, but the limited ammo supply is what gives that requirement genuine weight. Every bullet that misses or hits a non-critical area is a bullet that might be needed for the last zombie in the level, and developing the discipline to wait for a clean shot rather than firing at the first available angle is the habit that carries you through the later levels. Checking the bullet count before engaging the first target in each level gives you a sense of how much margin you have before the level becomes a careful management exercise.

Moving Targets

Stationary zombies test your aim. Moving zombies test your timing and your ability to account for travel time between the rifle and the target. The back-and-forth pacing pattern needs to be observed for a moment before firing, and leading the shot so that the bullet arrives where the zombie will be rather than where it currently is is the adjustment that turns missed shots on moving targets into reliable eliminations. A few attempts to calibrate that lead distance on a new zombie type is time well spent compared to burning through ammunition on reactive shots that consistently arrive half a second too late.
