About the Game

Most shooters put you in a squad. Army Combat puts you alone in a forest full of highly trained soldiers who outnumber you significantly and will not give you the benefit of the doubt. Choosing whether to play as attacker or defender shapes the entire tactical approach of each session, and both options demand the same core skill: patience over aggression.

The defender role puts you in a forested area where cover is abundant but enemies approach from multiple directions. Trees, bushes, and military vehicles create natural concealment options, and the most effective approach is to use them rather than stand in the open and trade shots with professional soldiers. The red arrow above enemy heads helps you track individual soldiers before they enter your sightline, which gives you information to plan engagements rather than react to them after the fact. Targeting single soldiers carefully rather than drawing multiple opponents simultaneously is what keeps the health bar manageable through the later waves.

The attacker role opens the sniper rifle as a primary option, which changes the combat dynamic fundamentally. Engaging from range before closing to melee distance is a more forgiving approach than trying to fight multiple trained opponents in close quarters. The distance the sniper rifle provides is an advantage the defender role does not have, and using it consistently rather than pushing forward and abandoning the range advantage is the habit that makes attacker mode progression sustainable.

Whitish areas in defender mode drain health quickly, which functions as an environmental pressure mechanism that keeps you moving rather than holding a single defensive position indefinitely. The constraint forces you to balance the safety of cover with the cost of being static, which keeps both modes dynamic rather than rewarding purely passive play.

The weapon selection covers the full range from shotgun to sniper rifle, and picking the most appropriate tool for the current engagement rather than relying on a single option throughout makes a genuine difference in outcomes. Multiple weapon options available through a single button or scroll wheel input means switching is fast enough to be a real tactical option in the middle of an encounter.

Controls: WASD or arrow keys to move, left click to fire, right click to aim, Spacebar to jump, 1-6 or scroll wheel to switch weapons, Left Shift to run, Ctrl to lean, Tab to pause.
