Cannon sticks also draw automatically when facing an opponent, keeping the combat system mostly manageable even in chaotic multi-ship encounters.

Health and Loot

Health boxes marked with a plus symbol appear across the playing field and are worth navigating toward when your ship’s durability is taking significant damage from sustained fire. Routing toward one of these boxes during a brief break in combat rather than waiting until your health is critically low is the habit that keeps you in matches longer than players who ignore them until it is too late. Loot boxes floating on the water serve a different purpose: collecting them generates experience that triggers level-ups, and each level-up unlocks a skill upgrade. Movement speed, double strike capability, and improved mobility are among the options, and building toward the skills that suit your playstyle across a match gives the progression a meaningful direction.

Ships and Captains

Coins earned from winning matches go toward unlocking new ships and captain figures from the main menu. The ship selection changes the visual identity of your vessel on the water, and the captain options customize the figure at the helm. Neither affects the core combat mechanics, but arriving in a fully unlocked setup feels meaningfully different from the default starting configuration after you have put time into accumulating the currency to build it out.
