About the Game
Alex is being chased through a port by people who do not have his best interests in mind, and his only way out is up. Speedrun Parkour is a sky-high platformer where you guide Alex through 30 levels of containers, boxes, and airborne obstacles, climbing upward through a course that gets progressively more dangerous with moving chainsaws, shifting floors, and elevators that require timing rather than just reflexes. The clock is running throughout, and reaching the finish line of each level quickly while surviving everything between you and it is the challenge the game is built around.
Climbing and Movement
The direction of travel is almost exclusively upward, which gives the game a distinct feel compared to standard left-to-right platformers. You are not rushing toward a horizontal finish line but ascending through a vertical course where falling back down means losing significant progress rather than just a short distance. Moving forward is D or the Right Arrow, backward is A or Left Arrow, and jumping is W, Up Arrow, or Spacebar. The mechanic is simple but the application becomes demanding quickly as the level layouts introduce gaps and obstacles that require precise jump timing to clear without dropping back to an earlier section of the course.
Elevators and Moving Floors
Elevators and sliding floors appear in later levels and offer a faster path upward than standard platforms, but only if you time your approach correctly. Jumping onto an elevator at the wrong point in its movement cycle can carry you in the wrong direction or leave you stranded on a platform that is moving away from where you need to be. Watching the movement pattern for a moment before committing to a jump is the habit that uses elevators as the advantage they are intended to provide rather than an additional source of failure.
Chainsaws
Rolling chainsaws are the most unforgiving obstacle in the game. Contact with one sends you back to the beginning of the current level regardless of how far through it you were, which makes them the single most costly mistake available. They move in patterns that can be read with a moment of observation, and approaching a chainsaw section slowly enough to identify the safe window rather than running straight into it is the approach that avoids the level restarts that make difficult sections genuinely frustrating.
Controls: W, Up Arrow, or Spacebar to jump, D or Right Arrow to move forward, A or Left Arrow to move backward. Mobile: left buttons to move, right button to jump.
