About the Game

Four open maps, a car with no regard for physics, and a set of ramps that exist for no reason other than to send you as high and as sideways as possible. Stunt Rider is a free-form driving game built entirely around the satisfaction of pulling off ridiculous aerial maneuvers and watching the results, ideally with a barrel roll or two involved.

The four playgrounds cover different environments without changing the fundamental experience. The city center map puts ramps between buildings with plenty of walls to use for bouncing. The rural road map spreads things out with longer straight sections between launch points. The industrial area introduces more mechanical clutter and tighter spaces. The snowy area changes the visual tone and adds some surface variation that affects how the car responds to landing. Each map has its own character, and spending time with all four reveals different opportunities for the kinds of stunts the terrain naturally produces.

Points come from jumps, drifts, and the F point collectibles scattered around each map. There is no timer and no strict objective beyond chasing a higher score, which makes the game feel genuinely free in a way that objective-driven stunt games often do not. You can spend an entire session on a single ramp experimenting with entry angles and speeds, or cover the whole map looking for the best combination of features to chain together. Both approaches are valid, and the absence of pressure to do either is part of what makes it easy to stay in a session longer than you planned.

The barrel roll and somersault mechanics are the highlight. Getting the car airborne off a ramp and feeding in directional input while in the air triggers these maneuvers, and the physics engine gives you enough control to make them feel intentional rather than accidental. The same ramp approached at different speeds produces different results, and finding the exact input combination that produces a clean backflip versus a chaotic tumble is a genuinely satisfying discovery process.

The fix mechanic removes the one frustration that usually comes with stunt games. Pressing F repairs any damage to the car instantly, which means a badly landed attempt costs you nothing except the dignity of watching the car crumple. You can reset immediately and try the same stunt again with a clean vehicle, which keeps the experimentation loop fast and uninterrupted.
