Driving and Zombie Handling

Zombies on the road are an opportunity as much as an obstacle. The spike-equipped truck is built for exactly this interaction, and maintaining enough velocity through groups of undead rather than slowing to navigate around them is both more effective and more entertaining. The post-apocalyptic terrain between zombie encounters includes wrecked cars that function as ramps, and hitting them at speed produces the airtime needed for the flip bonus mechanic.

Flips and Coins

Each completed front or back flip during a jump earns three bonus coins on top of whatever is collected from the road and zombie encounters. Wrecked cars and natural terrain ramps provide the launch points, and the approach speed determines how much airtime you have to complete the rotation before landing. A flip that does not complete before the truck hits the ground does not earn the bonus, so carrying enough speed into each ramp to allow full rotation is the difference between a scoring jump and a wasted opportunity. Staying Upright

The truck health bar drains steadily when the vehicle is flipped and sitting upside down, which makes recovery speed after a bad landing a genuine survival skill rather than a cosmetic concern. Pressing the Up Arrow while inverted launches the truck and creates the airtime needed to rotate back onto the wheels, and acting on that immediately rather than waiting costs less health than sitting idle. On rougher terrain sections where flipping is more likely, the balance controls during flight, holding the left or right arrow to rotate the truck mid-air before landing, are what keep the health bar from becoming a problem.
